How I Spent My Christmas Holiday With Family

Season Greetings great steemians, am here to share with you all about my Christmas experience. I grew up to understand that the 25th December of every year, is a day set aside to celebrate the birth of Christ and was called Christmas.

Christmas is a day I believe everyone looked forward to,as it is time when love is widely expressed and appreciated by loved ones, family and friends, and even strangers, and I looked forward to it. I was given a Christmas break on the 23rd day of December at my Industrial Training center, so I joyfully prepared to head home the next day. I borded a vehicle back home the next morning as I the only one left out and couldn't wait to join my family.

Soon I got to the house and was happy to see everyone cheerful. We had never spent Christmas in the village,so my Dad suggested we celebrate the Christmas in the village,so we started packing the needed belongings as well as some food stuffs. Soon we were all ready. It was I and my siblings first Christmas in the village, we were curious though but I heard that villa was a happening place,so I looked forward to experiencing it as I hopped into our car.

Spending time as family is always fun and with my crazy siblings, there's no dull moments. We started gisting about our child hood and the change of maturity now then, if our parents Don't get us new outfit for the season, it will be a problem, but now it didn't matter as we have realized that those things are meant for children as adults celebrate it in a more ideal way.

Soon we got to the village and headed to the family house which was massive but filled with extended family who came for Christmas as well. I got to see my cousins and nieces, and also my lovely grandpa,I personally missed him and his interesting stories as they were no dull moments with him. We all settled in and I later assisted in preparation for Christmas.

Finally it was Christmas a blooming day it was, I woke up with this inner joy as I knelt down to pray, after which I went round the house hugging everyone and wishing them a blissful Christmas. I perceived an attractive aroma that dragged me to the kitchen, and to my greatest surprise food was ready that early and was served immediately,after which we prepared for church service.

I later, went to the community field as a match was going on between my community and a nearby community. The fun kept coming as the match was getting tough and interesting, soon it became scary as the nearby community had scored a goal, we all had lost hope until a miracle happened and we equally scored. It was a peaceful match as both communities went back happy.
I and my siblings were very happy as we experienced something different from the usual. We got back home and soon it was grandpa's story time which I can't forfeit for anything, as they was a Beach party that evening which my siblings attended.
