Today I will discuss CryptoPunks NFT. Already we all know that after Ape NFT CryptoPunks NFT gained much popularity. Today we will know CryptoPunks NFT history. So let's get started.
CryptoPunks are a type of "Non-Fungible Tokens". Which is the cryptoart pioneer NFT. Which is made up of the Ethereum blockchain network. There are a total of 10000 CryptoPunks NFTs. Each is generated algorithmically through computer code. As far as I know Python used programming language and NFT has nothing to do with one another. Some traits are rarer than others.
CryptoPunks Project is a New York-based mobile software company. The company was founded in 2005. In early May 2021, the company launched a new NFT project called Meebits. That is CryptoPunks NFT. Now they have their own NFT marketplace.
There are five types of Punks in total. Punks are pixelated images of men and women made to look like the characters they inspired Looks very unique. There are also punks that look like zombies, apes or aliens. There are only nine alien punks. So they are worth more than male punks in the market which has 6,039.
10,000 cryptopunks were created by developers John Watkinson and Matt Hall of Larva Labs. They were created for entertainment and released on the marketplace in 2017. At first they could be purchased for free, with only Ethereum gas fees. Then NFT gained a lot of popularity. What they themselves could not imagine. Many invest millions of dollars. The most expensive NFT is "CryptoPunk #9998" worth ETH 124,457.0675. The Ethereum NFT collection generated $2.4 billion worth of trades with all sales.
