When we have stress in our lives it can consume us, cause us to lose sleep, our energy, and even our health. How can we flip the script and learn to use stress? Let me be clear, stress and worry are real and have real causes and effects to varying degrees yet, at the same time, stress is a matter of perspective. Another word for stress could be drama. We all know people in our lives or workplaces who seem to be stressed out all the time or have some kind of drama continuously happening in their lives (yikes, lol.. I'm talking about myself now perhaps). Here again, there may be an opportunity for shifting perspective. One very effective tool used by managing consultants is that of the "role-play." When it comes to stress or drama, we might do well to "play" with it, flesh it out and step outside of ourselves and situations to reframe it or see it under a different light. If I were to offer one recommendation to you, the reader, I would simply hope that keeping things "playful" or "light" as much as possible would be it. Maybe that is a reflection on my current state but as my aunt says, and the old song goes: "It don't mean a thing if it ain't got that swing."
