My wife Barbara and I are new to cryptocurrencies
We are ex TV and Hollywood movie watchers.
We have been a youtube user and and contributors for years . You tube has become unprodictable and stifling.
We have had a show on Community access tv for a few years called GreenEarthtv.com. The name was taken from us. We were early ecology activists
Some of our interviews have been archived at Georgia State University.
We like so many other people have given our work away for free because we believe it was the right thing to do.
Or maybe we didn't want to "make it " in conventional media because we didnt want our egos to get swept up sucking up to the idea of Success.
We want healthy affordable community for all. Peer to Peer not Peon to celebrity.
We have become missionaries in helping people returning from incarceration to complete their legal obligations and get back to productive and un opressed lives.
The program is called Healing Communities of Georgia .
It was started by Governor Nathan and Sandra Deal.
We have 5 certifications to call our self a Station of Hope and have helped about 29 people so far.
Governor Deal wants faith communities to get involved with prison reentry.
We have worked with Mennonites, Lutherans
and right now are drawn to working with the Salvation Army.
We are entrepeneurs on Etsey, Handcrafts, Ebay, Real Estate , Craigs list.
We believe that everyone should have a drug and crime free housing space connected to community work and creativity . We have supported every type of housing from urban camping, sheds , MadHouser huts, japanese Capsule hotels, Tiny Houses, House Shares, and shelters.
We have given away Bus Passes, CellPhones, Food, Drug overdose and test kits, rides housing, dental work , and all kinds of logistical support including sharing our home.
I think something like blockchains( and I am not savvy at all) might be a good way to vet people in terms of their best game and not just their criminal rap sheets.
Think of the book and movie "MoneyBall" in which statististics where used by the Oakland
A's to build a champion team by finding the strengths of mediocre farmteam players for a fraction of the cost.
My hope is Steemit will be a safe place to develope ideas and plans and make money for a new type of society that works for the freedom and success of all.
I started watching anarchocaptial stuff and saw Jeff Berwick doing an interview with the the founder of EOS.
It made sense so we signed up right away for Steemit.
This is probably the first thing I've written publicly in over a year.
My wife and I pray Steemit is as good of a community as we think it is.
We would love to hear from all who are interested
I am new to crypto$ as well and trying to navigate the content out there to get some quality and easy to understand content. Have you found any tutorials or info that has been useful? I am still just trying to wrap my head around this new paradigm, the jargon, and the potential. I live in Paso Robles. I am going to go and listen to the video you mentioned above right now!
This sounds interesting. I look forward to future posts. Is the work you do centered around Atlanta or have you done similar work elsewhere?
