Steem Price and Value of Steemit

in #steemsilvergold6 years ago (edited)

Good day everyone and Welcome to D Wings World!! This is where information and adventure await my friends! Todays post is a little different in that it does not deal with precious metals directly, but in a more indirect manner. As most of you probably know the price of Steem as I type this looks like this!!

I know it is hard to look at and it has been trending downward for a little while, I mean I know just the other day it sank like a lead balloon in water, but I mean honestly it has been on a downward slide. Now, as most of you guys know I am a precious metals type of person, however I diversify in all areas. I like to think of it like Batman does, have a plan to fight even my friends because at the end of the day you never know what could happen. Pretty sure that this mind set comes from my occupation, but it may also come from growing up rough and tumble.
When I look at any market of any type I look at low times as the time to stock up on assets cheap. I mean think of it like a sale on ammo. If you need it and you can get 20 rounds for the price you normally pay for 10 its a win. That is how I see it. Contrary to popular belief, it is less risky to invest at a lower price point. Why you ask? Even though faith is shaken there is a greater probability of the asset rising in value than completely failing. This means that you are hedging your bet at a cheaper cost and at a time there is a greater chance of the asset rising in price making you more return than you would have had when it was up. As you guys can tell I am still invested in this crypto and in this platform, but it does not mean I am all sunshine and rainbows.
The harsh truth is that Steem as a coin is on a downward slide currently and that actually does hurt the Steemit platform because it is its life blood and incentive for new members joining. Without something to pull people to the platform it will be harder to maintain and become less and less viable. Do I think there are ways to increase the platforms use? I really think one of the largest problems with STeemit as a platform is how non-user friendly it is. There are many apps and programs out there to make it more friendly like busy.org or even dclick, but it still is imposing to new members. We have to find a way to overcome that hurdle.
This is important to me because my crypto is another way for me to buy precious metals and use it to prep for anything in the future. So what are you guys thinking out there? Are you jumping ship? Are you buying more? Why is it important to you? Let me know you know I love hearing from you!! Thanks for your time and please remember to upvote, resteem, and reply!!

Thank you for all you do!!

I Proofread your Post and it would not be Right if I said nothing about how to spell Hurdle.......@dwingsworld Thank You for all of Your Support.............

Well at least it's not as bad as my miss spelling my first tag on my post #steensilvergold!
I'll have to get a new keyboard anyway because half the letters are worn away.

LOL obviously I did not proof read it enough lol. Thanks for taking a look and your support!

Originally I planned this as a means to acquire more PMs, but now its more part of a basket of Alt- currencies as a hedge and diversification outside of a very flawed and failing economic model. And the social networking is sort of the icing on top.

@kerrislravenhill I too had that initial plan, but the community is really what I love here. Much like YouTube the people are what makes it special. I appreciate the awesome reply my friend!!
