Why you must listen to people you disagree with.

I am asking you to set aside your particular biases while you listen to this video and get to the underlying danger that it speaks to.

I often disagree with the things that Ben Shapiro says but that is okay because my own thought processes are convoluted. However as he goes down the list of events disrupted by "intersectionality" it shows a terrible pattern. Universities are places where disturbing thoughts must be addressed. I would invite the most hateful speaker to speak at a university and allow him to speak. I watch a video today celebrating International Women's Day: "Teach girls bravery, not perfection | Reshma Saujani"

She had some very interesting experiences having to do with teaching coding to girls. I didn't comment on the video because there was a statement that she made concerning her perception that boys are trained to be brave. I don't particularly consider myself to be brave. I think a better adjective would be mindless. During a building on fire, does a person enter the fire through bravery ... expecting to return to a "supportive environment" for showing the bravery or does the person see an issue and disregards their own safety (being mindless) and the safety of their family in the case they are injured. I used my own preferred pronouns here their and they because I don't think this is just in the province of men. There are lots of people who are "brave" of both sexes and I don't think it is due to specific conditioning in childhood.

This brings me back to Ben Shapiro. The second video has an element of blaming our society for not making women "brave". She should become familiar with Ayn Rand. A woman who did not differentiate between men and women in her vision of superior people. Galt's Gulch is after all populated with both men and women. Those antifa who disrupted the speaker on Objectivism would know the same ... except they would not let him speak.
