Who is this pot-bellied one leaning against the column? Isn't that an old acquaintance of the elephant-headed Ganesha?

There is no lighting, and therefore it is interesting here only in the daytime. There is nothing to catch in the evening!
In some places the floor is polished with many legs and shines. All 4 cave temples have been desecrated by Muslim invaders and these are long inactive temples, now it is just a museum.

And here in the back of the temple there is a trash job. There is a hole in the wall. And behind it there is another wall, in fact there is a solid rock. There is a distance between them.

And this whole rounded back part is made of molten concrete (or whatever material there is), but it's definitely not a cut in the rock. Fused elements are visible. There is a step in front of the window. Why was all this created? Nobody knows, and who knows, will not tell.

Here, on the ceiling, you can see the image of the Naga snake coiled into a ball.

The ceiling is also richly decorated with decorative elements.

The illumination in some places of the cave is so-so, here a camera with a normal light-sensitive lens would not hurt.

Of course, this is the Shivalingam. There is a widespread and possibly mistaken belief that the lingam is a phallus and a symbol of the masculine principle, and under the lingam is Yoni, the feminine principle. Linga-yoni-murti. Most often, the Yoni is depicted as a circle, but a square is made here. A lingam is depicted as an upright cylindrical stone with a rounded end. “Linga” is translated from Sanskrit as “Sign, label, symbol”. The unity of masculine and feminine principles is the simplest, primitive interpretation of the lingam, but this is by no means "yin-yang", although the essence is similar. A deeper interpretation is Trimurti. Unity of Shiva (lingam), Vishnu (pedestal) and Brahma (base). Lingam is a symbol of spirituality, strength striving upward.

It is part of Brahma, the absolute and "soul of the world". The all-consuming state of absolute reality and the reason for the existence of the entire material universe. No more and no less!

There are many legends about the origin of the lingam. Here is one of them. Once Vishnu and Brahma began to argue which of them is more important. They argued, argued, until a pillar of fire appeared in front of them from earth to heaven. The gods could not defeat the pillar of fire with any weapon. Then Brahma went to heaven, and Vishnu went underground, they wanted to find the beginning and end of the pillar. But in vain, the pillar of fire had no beginning or end. Puzzled Brahma and Vishnu gathered again, and then the god Shiva came out of the pillar of fire, who explained the disputant who was in charge. And for the fact that they attempted the pillar, he obliged them to worship the Linga-murti.

So we examined the Shiva cave temple inside. Now we go further, into the cave №2. This temple is dedicated to the god Vishnu.

Es gibt keine Beleuchtung und deshalb ist es hier nur tagsüber interessant. Abends gibt es hier nichts zu fangen! Stellenweise ist der Boden mit vielen Beinen poliert und glänzt. Alle 4 Höhlentempel wurden von muslimischen Invasoren entweiht und dies sind lange inaktive Tempel, jetzt ist es nur noch ein Museum.
Und hier im hinteren Teil des Tempels gibt es einen Mülljob. In der Wand ist ein Loch. Und dahinter gibt es eine andere Wand, tatsächlich gibt es einen festen Felsen. Es gibt einen Abstand zwischen ihnen.
Und dieser ganze abgerundete Rückenteil besteht aus geschmolzenem Beton (oder was auch immer für ein Material es gibt), aber es ist definitiv kein Schnitt in den Fels. Verschmolzene Elemente sind sichtbar. Vor dem Fenster steht eine Stufe. Warum wurde das alles geschaffen? Niemand weiß es und wer es weiß, wird es nicht sagen. Hier an der Decke sehen Sie das Bild der Naga-Schlange, die zu einer Kugel zusammengerollt ist. Die Decke ist auch reich mit dekorativen Elementen dekoriert. Die Bildhauer haben es versucht. Die Beleuchtung an einigen Stellen der Höhle ist mittelmäßig, hier würde eine Kamera mit einem normalen lichtempfindlichen Objektiv nicht schaden.

Dies ist natürlich das Shivalingam. Es gibt eine weit verbreitete und möglicherweise falsche Überzeugung, dass der Lingam ein Phallus und ein Symbol des männlichen Prinzips ist, und unter dem Lingam ist Yoni, das weibliche Prinzip. Es gibt viele Legenden über die Herkunft des Lingams. Hier ist einer von ihnen. Sobald Vishnu und Brahma anfingen zu streiten, welcher von ihnen wichtiger ist. Sie stritten, argumentierten, bis eine Feuersäule vor ihnen von der Erde zum Himmel erschien. Die Götter konnten die Feuersäule mit keiner Waffe besiegen. Dann ging Brahma in den Himmel und Vishnu ging in den Untergrund, sie wollten den Anfang und das Ende der Säule finden. Aber vergebens hatte die Feuersäule keinen Anfang und kein Ende. Verwirrt kamen Brahma und Vishnu wieder zusammen, und dann kam der Gott Shiva aus der Feuersäule, der den verantwortlichen Debattierer erklärte. Und für die Tatsache, dass sie die Säule versuchten, zwang er sie, die Linga-Murti anzubeten.
Also untersuchten wir den Shiva-Höhlentempel im Inneren. Jetzt gehen wir weiter in die Höhle №2. Dieser Tempel ist dem Gott Vishnu gewidmet. Und die Affen folgen uns mit ihren Augen.
