Joe Rogan strikes back!

in #news3 years ago

Joe Rogan is one of the good guys out there in the media world in mine and many other people's opinion. I think this accounts for a big part of the reason why he is the biggest podcaster of all time. Hell, I didn't really even listen to podcasts until recently although I was very aware of the popularity of his brand.

Although it took him a long time to get around to it, Joe didn't like it very much when CNN and others went after him over comments he made on his own Instagram about the drugs he took when he caught Covid. The media immediately tried to paint a false picture of his words and label him as someone that is spreading bad information about Ivermectin, which was one of just many drugs his doctor prescribed when he caught Covid.

While Joe didn't engage with CNN directly, it of course made him upset that the media was telling lies about him and the fact that they went out of their way to make up lies about him should upset you as well. CNN knew that he wasn't taking veterinarian medicine but they ran with that anyway. I don't know how many people jumped on board this falsity but it didn't work out for CNN the way that they had hoped, I am sure.

Joe Rogan has a MUCH larger audience than anyone at CNN or even all of their major shows combined and unlike CNN, Joe's numbers continue to grow while CNN's numbers just get worse and worse as time goes by. Logic would dictate that from a business point of view that CNN would recognize this problem after facing diminishing numbers and criticism for nearly a year, but instead they just doubled-down on the lies and tried to defend their standpoint about what they had said about Joe and Ivermectin. I think we can safely say at this point that CNN has gone "all in" on their current failing strategy and aren't going to change it even though the people are speaking with the decisions to not tune in as CNN shows are routinely beaten by reruns of TV shows that are decades old in terms of viewership.

Joe isn't a vindictive guy, or so it would appear, but recently he has been going on the offensive towards CNN a bit and this is something that they should be very afraid of. I'm willing to bet that they are too arrogant to acknowledge this though.

Joe put out a meme and I don't know if he made it himself of not, but I found it pretty amusing. It's also not too much a stretch from what the original Ivermectin story was like.

That's funny but unfortunately it is essentially exactly the same thing that CNN did as a response to Joe Rogan saying that he had taken Ivermectin as one of the drugs that helped him to get over Covid in just a few days and with no side-effects.

At one point Joe said in his podcast "do I need to sue CNN?" and honestly, even though he doesn't need the money I wish that he, and many others would do so. I don't like lawyers but it seems to me that we are reaching a point with our media that this is the only way to force them to be somewhat truthful in their reporting.

I find it sad and also humorous that networks like CNN will spend hours on and even dedicate entire shows to how important truth in journalism is while themselves being one of the biggest players in producing the opposite of that. If you are the type of person that watches CNN and believes anything they are telling you, then you are too far gone in the political divide to be saved. If it weren't for airports, I would imagine that the viewership numbers of CNN would be dramatically lower than they already are.

The people are speaking and this is why Joe Rogan keeps gaining an audience and people like CNN keep losing it. The market has a way of working itself out and I am just happy to see that it seems that most people are able to see through the lies that we are told on a daily basis at this point despite the big media network's best efforts to the contrary.

I listened to a show a few days back that featured Dan Crenshaw of Texas. Joe is obviously conservative-leaning but he still went toe to to with Crenshaw about various issues and didn't just simply bring him on for a scripted "we agree about everything" discussion. The world needs more people like Joe in it who aren't affiliated with any party.

And when CNN came back to the report, they didn't even mention the parts where he accused them of bad faith AND the doctor agreed

of course they didn't. I think CNN has a wonderful opportunity or maybe just anyone out there to admit they effed up over the past 5 years, completely change their hosts, and try for a true unbiased news approach. The world is basically screaming for this kind of news outlet but nobody wants to do it. I can't think of any that even try.
