The place that you can see through the branches of this pine is my hometown.

I bought "Slow Shutter Cam" app for iPhone. That made possible for me to make long exposure photos with my phone. This morning, when this photo was taken, wasn't windy at all, but calm sea can look much interesting and much more beautiful with this long exposure app.

It is impossible to live in Dalmatia and not to have connection with pines. They are everywhere. As much as they are useful because of shade they can provide very nice shade during the hot summer, they can be really dangerous because it is very easy to burn the pine. It burns fast and the flame is so high, so fire can spread toward the houses and those pines are main problem of uncontrolled fire in the summertime. Under the fire, it's cones can explode like bombs.
Aleppo pine can grow up to 20 meters. They were planted in Dalmatia during Roman Empire because they grow fast and can provide wood and resin for needs of war. Aleppo pines multiply very fast, so they kinda reduced the population of domestic black pines.
