Ambitions and dreams from stultifying environment
This is probably much more complexed topic to write about than what I used to write lately. But this was the easiest inspiration that I could have today because if you live in environment that constantly tries to suppress you, your dreams and your decisions, that means that you are inspired 100% all the time. To get the idea about this theme, I just had to go to buy some milk in the nearby mini market.
In front of the mini market were bunch of men between 20 and 60 ears old drinking beers as each day.
It is much cheaper than in any bar. They sit on empty boxes and they can spend whole afternoon drinking and wasting time. They don't have job, many of them still live with their parents. They don't even try to move from that spot even for a millimeter. They mostly talk nonsense whole time and commenting people that go in the market, mostly women. I don't think that any of them has a wife or a girlfriend.
So, that is the true picture of the society I live in, and this is not the only mini market in front which you can find guys like these. If you live on Balkans Peninsula, you know what I mean!
It is kinda strange to give up of options and possibilities that life can offer. I don't think that they are stupid, I just think that they don't give a fuck about anything. And, the worst of all, they have each other to discourage and suppress each other's ambitions.
For example, you came up with an idea to start something, business or something creative.
And you expect from people around you to support you.
But this environment won't support you, people will tell you that you are not right person for that, that you are not good for that, that you watch too many movies and that you should stop dreaming. Just sit, take a beer and accept the reality!
Many of them would blame the war for their condition. But war in Croatia is over 22 years ago and how long will we allow history to mess our future!?
Many young guys who were dropped out from the school or simply don't want to participate in their own future joined them in front of the mini market.
I have an acquaintance, a rapper from my city who is not stupid and he is very friendly person but he made a lot of bad decisions only because of the company he was hanging with. He never worked, just took the money from his mother and drank it all in front of the mini market. Eventually, he found a nice girl, got married, got a son, found a job in some warehouse and it all lasted for a year.
He was complaining on his job, he was late all the time, he was lazy at work and he got fired.
Then he started to sell weed again and ended up in front of the mini market again. His wife left him, took the child with her and now we are on the beginning again...
Whenever I think something bad about myself, I have to return here and read this post to remind myself who I am how I could end up...

I can relate well with your story @dumar022. you see, the reality of life is its unfairness, but people in their unenlightened state revel in that situation they found themselves without making any attempt to change the status-quo. It is that bad. You could attempt talking to them, I mean not all of them, but one you feel is level-headed. The change could begin from him.

Yes in my time there i saw the guys your talking about sitting on the street drinking, andits good you can use seeing them to inspire you to do better with yourself.
I also have friends, working here inNY now who decided they didnt want to be sitting there but wanted more from their life

Yes that is very true once its part of your surroundings and what you see you are naturally drawn tot hat life style to break away is very hard for sure
