On the 4th of July, my brother had gone out with his friends to have fun while I was stuck at home. Me being the 12 year old kid I was, was a bit depressed at the notion of not being able to "hang with the big boys". My dad on the other hand knew exactly what to do. He told me to give him a few minutes, in which he filled a few baseball sized cavities with gun powder and added fuses.

I am not lying to you when I say we properly blew some shit up.

I still remember that mushroom cloud in all its environmentally tainting glory.
