Practicing what I preach: Brisbane turns it on for a relaxing public holiday
It still winter here in sunny Brisbane, but our fair city has turned on a beautiful day for its annual public holiday Ekka Day. So as a family we drove out to Wellington Point to enjoy the outdoors for a bit.
Although it has no surf beaches, the city of Brisbane sits on Moreton Bay, which is shielded from the currents and swells of the Pacific Ocean by the world's second largest sand island - Moreton Island. Hence the lack of waves in the photos.
I have written before of the importance of rest and relaxation - and how true relaxation is an art form (see: https://steemit.com/creativity/@drwom/the-importance-of-recharging-no-not-your-phone-you) - but today I got to practice it.
What a brilliant day. I took videos to show you - windsurfers, paragliders - but unfortunately I can't upload them.
So screen shots will have to do.
It is important to relax and recuperate every now and then. So important!

I live in a city neer to the sea
When I go to the sea I feel like a smal child want to play and fly far away from all the life problems

Looks like you made the most of your day! I live in Brissy, but never been to Wellington Point. It looks so calm & relaxing. I have been posting about good food spots around town and will be expanding to landmarks & places to explore. Steem on ✌

Nice public holiday post mate. Used to live down that way and have been to Wellington Point a number of times.
Completely agree with the concept of relaxation. We are programmed to avoid it, rather that we should always be working or engaged in something "productive".
What could be more productive than your own well being?
