"Ithaqa" Comic Book Update #148 Chapter 3 Thumbnails Pages 1-9

Here we are, "The High Priestess", the part of the Fool's Journey that relates to the hidden power of one's mind.

These pages are the most action packed to date as we finally find all of our characters in varying degrees of cult-related danger! I feel like in many ways this is Ruth's issue, up to this point we know her as being quiet and cynical, but here we see that she does not crack under pressure. I mean look at page 4 panel 7, she's punching the spit out of "Cultist #1".

You can also see Theresa's notes on these thumbnails, which I think is pretty fun. Her and I have talked a bit about these thumbnails, and have made some adjustments so stay tuned to see how the comic evolves!

One thing I must say with regret, is that Mookie is not physically fit enough to pull off that amazing panel on page 8 panel 3. That's some anime level athleticism, and while I think it would be period appropriate for Mookie to have dabbled a bit in boxing, he ain't judo- kicking a cultist while blackout drunk. It is a shame though, because that panel is so fun! Obviously when this becomes a multi-million dollar property and we get a Netflix anime series deal we'll pop that right back in.
