Continuous time and effort spent posting, commenting, and curating has helped us continue to grow at about 1% weekly. At the current rate, we would hit 5000 SP around Halloween. But a couple things will affect that:

• Powering down

• [Mission Agua Possible] completing

Because [MAP] is nearing full funding, I'm powering down the STEEM I've been holding for the project. I expect in about 6 weeks we'll be ready to transfer the funds to Edgar, for the purchase and installation of the pump. (Yay!)

My first ever power down just happened, with 12 more weekly deposits yet to arrive. Each is 510 STEEM. I currently hold about 600 liquid and 6000 powered up. I don't need it all on hand, but in these uncertain times, I want to have my powder dry.

As the amount which is powered up (SP) declines, so will my upvote payouts and my curation rewards, making it harder to earn STEEM. I'll still be able to earn by receiving upvotes from others, so I intend to keep posting quality content on a regular basis, but my rate of growth is still expected to decline somewhat.

Steem-Engine?

There have been a lot of glitches and downtime for Steem Engine lately. In fact, it's messed up again right now:

Another way to check is via wallets on other front ends, like here on SteemLeo, where there's currently no Steem Engine data or link. That happens when the site isn't running properly.

This is a bit of a problem for me because I like to keep a daily eye on my token currencies. As far as I know, there's no other way to access them. When Steem-Engine is down, all token currencies cease trading and markets are closed. I think that's important to avoid. Also, bugs and downtime make people really hesitant to invest their money or effort. Just saying, it can come across as unprofessional.

Once it's working properly again, I'll resume recommending it to my followers. It's as easy as logging in to any Steem front end, and all your tokens are there in front of you. You can send them to other Steem users, trade them, stake (power up) them, and so on.

CANNA

I've talked about CANNA before. It's a token put out by the canna guys:

Cool, I 'leveled up' again! I've been slowly creeping up by earning other tokens for posting or commenting (WEED, LEO, etc) and converting into CANNA. I now have 502, which apparently makes me a "diamond"! Sweeeeeet. This token seems to hold its value. Also, owning them bestows me with a bit of support on my posts. Maybe that will counteract some of the losses I'll take from powering down.

The price of STEEM has fallen again this week, now down to 0.177 USD. The 2.5 years of work we've done (and the $5000 we invested up front) has been reduced to a current value of $600. REALLY hoping for a price recovery.
