New Module Monday on DLive! Mutable Plaits Ambient Synth Journey Live!
Could not be more stoked to debut the new oscillator from Mutable Instruments, Plaits on stream tonight on DLive! It's the successor to their Braids oscillator, which is used in just about every single patch, likely including this one! It has sixteen different classic (and some way-out-there) modes of synthesis, it's compact, and like all of the Mutable Instruments modules, it looks freaking amazing. Given we are aiming from ambient, I will start in the Mutable Rings emulation mode, plucking away with the lowpass gate until thing necessitate rowdy-ness.
Join me on a journey that will most likely start ambient, but may begin thumping the room at a moment's notice!

I didn't realize that they had a new Oscillator out. Very interesting watching you explore this. Seems like it has a lot of depth to it. I'm really interested to see if it handles string sounds well since I read some of the wavetables skewer that way.
It's definitely the most versatile oscillator in my collection and has multiple string (and Mutable Rings) esque modes. I cannot possibly recommend it more after even only a few sessions with it.
