FIRST AID for SEIZURE

Motive is to keep the person safe until the seizure stops by itself.

*Loosen anything around the person's neck viz clothing, jewellry etc
*Most important step is not to restrain the person – this may result in injury.
*Don't put anything (eatables or spoon etc)nto patients mouth.

• Remove any harmful object in patient's vicinity
• Put soft padding along side the patient's head not underneath the head as it may hinder breathing.

*After the seizure, lay the person on their side to facilitate breathing and keep the airway open.
*Do not leave a person alone after a seizure – they may be disoriented or confused.

• Call emergency if needed.

• Consult doctor nearby
