Bitcoin Transactions Are Getting Cheaper
Over the last few weeks, the size of Bitcoin mempool - waiting area for unconfirmed transactions waiting to be validated by miners - has decreased by about 90%.
As a result, bitcoin network rates decreased significantly, and the recommended transaction rate calculated dropped substantially. Now rates under $ 1 have become sufficient to get the first confirmation within 10 minutes.
Some bitcoin network rate estimators are recommending a rate of $ 0.19 on average for common transactions with an estimated one-hour confirmation time.
Yesterday, June 29, Charlie Shrem of Jaxx COO revealed that a personal transaction of $ 2,000 in bitcoin was confirmed in the first six minutes at a rate of $ 0.25
