Sometimes when you are looking around from 100 metres up in the air something will catch your eye. On a recent trip to The Lake District, the best outdoor playground in the UK, I came across this! I feel like this picture could do with a caption, or an explanation. It has been split in two and lies across a dry stone wall which appears to be completely shattered underneath. Was this tree struck by lightning? Or did gravity just finish it off? Did it grow out of the wall?

I like to marvel in the strange situation here and remember that from the ground, this just isn't a picture worth taking. Drones = higher perspective.

    As much as I want to know the story behind this photo, I think it will be better to be a mystery. It speaks a lot, could be interpreted in many ways... The photo can still stand alone without a story.. I dont know what a lightning can do to a tree so I have no idea what happened LOL but still great!
