I Hope You Mind

If I could read the minds,
of everyone I see,
would I find comfort,
in what they think of me?

Would they criticize,
or would they complement?
I wonder if they’d insult me,
during arguments?

It would not be a pleasant thing.
But perhaps worse of all,
would be to find out peoples minds
were not thinking of me at all.
