Personal: Lost her first tooth!
A big day for my 5-year-old yesterday. She finally lost her first tooth! She was so proud, and as soon as I came home from work she had to show me the tiny tooth and the black gap between her teeth.
In the evening she put the tooth in a glass and placed it next to a fairy door that is in her room. One day, you see - in our new house - there magically appeared 3 fairy doors. :) One in each of my three eldest kids' room. My 2 year old didn't get one, but that's probably because she's too young to loose any teeth yet.
She was really excited when she went to bed, and I gave her clear notice that she had to stay in bed and sleep all night, or the tooth fairy might not come. And what do you know? Even though she has been sick lately, and has usually crawled into me and my wifes bed every night, now she actually stayed in her bed. And behold! She was very happy this morning!
The toothfairy had been there, and given her 50 Norwegian kroner (around 6 USD).
Fantastic! Now she had a great story to tell at Day Care :)
I have a five year old waiting for some cash for his first tooth. Dammit! is it 50 NOK for a tooth these days?
Blame my sister @dieterschneider. I gave them 20 NOK a tooth earlier on, but then my sisters kids visited grandma and grandpa and one of them lost a tooth. Following my sisters instructions it turned out the toothfairy went bananas and gave the kid over 100 NOKs. And when this happened a couple of times in our proximity, I guess the toothfairy that is responsible for our new house had to bump it up to 50.
lol. I better start saving, used all my money on steem :P
Or give them 1 Steem for their next tooth! Maybe they will be able to buy something nice for it in a year or two? ;)
I was thinking just the same thing! I only got like 20NOK when I was a child. Maybe I should invest in some teeth instead of crypto? ;)
Haha @Valth! I don't think I even got that much. But since this is 30 years later, yes, I'm sorry to say that's the price I have to deal with now.
It seems like a lot, but that might just be that I'm getting older. I suppose you would need 50kr to even get something at the store these days.

My daughter has always looked forward to a visit from the tooth fairy.... I think she's all done now though....... she's almost 10.
As long as they don't start pulling out their adult teeth just to get money :)
