[ENGLISH] "The Container" [ORIGINAL]

"A line of people were bordering on the Health's corner street until near the gates of a famous Madrid's book store in the Gran Via. In lighthearted way, some people drinking coffee or smoking a cigarette, or chatting and commenting with each others the novelty of being sharers of this unexpected thing, as they were waiting their turns. In fact, curiosity had taken over those pedestrians who, having a free space in their agendas, decided to try the experience that was offered for free.
The container, with the size of a small box truck, stood on one side of the sidewalk, lengthwise to facilitate the access to the library and the normal course of pedestrians on the busy sidewalk. Its walls were covered with large black curtains falling to the clean sidewalk, and from time to time, at some small air breeze, its curtains undulations momentarily bared a series of photographic prints on methacrylate walls.
A pretty woman at the container entrance was giving way to people with the megaphone announcement:"new virtual reality machine; come in and try it for free!" On the container leaving side a man gave users brief instructions, and then, those users waited in the street, facing the container.
From the facing sidewalk, you could see if noticed carefully, how people caming in with a smile and some excitement, and leaving it pale and even with tears in his eyes.

Inside the container, a comfortable and ergonomic black chair with head speakers and a new vibration and rotation system about an axis, in front of a modern large screen with 3D glasses.
The dark and soundproof cabin promoted a higher concentration of the projection watcher for the first person image sequences, which lasts no more than ten minutes. The images and sounds were faithfully reproducing the environment, ambient noise and even the protagonists thoughts with voiceover, both male and female.
From that little boy he was happy playing with dolls and imagining stunning gowns under the disapproving gaze of their parents until a woman in her forties looking in the mirror as her mascara running over her face, thinking about how unfortunate she was having to adapt as a good married woman for the puritanical society while she dreamed of wearing a nice suit and tie and seduce as a handsome gentleman some pretty woman.
The thoughts reflect the reality of those people, as it became clear the criticizing environment, making them suffer.
That teenager who felt the rejection of his teammates for not playing football, while in his room were hunging pop bands posters with the guys of the moment instead of the stunning models whom the rest liked.

The man pain after breast implants and sex change surgery, while the full happiness of being realized, finally identifying herself.
The boo of that radical group on the woman with boy's haircut, loose clothing and some acne, walking hand in hand of the only woman who had understood him throughout his life.
A father, who explain their true sexual orientation and future purposes to his wife and children, and felt how fear and emptiness seized him and his now empty house, as he watched his family rushing away from him with suitcases.
The thud of a striking fist to the tall woman delicate face, who watched dumbfounded how the individual in front of her berated and threatened her again with his fist for not having revealed him before her past as a rugby player.
The powerlessness of man in military service, that besides getting pay like the rest of his teammates, he had to endure the officers laughter regarding him who should have stayed home with mom knitting scarves.
Ten minutes fast passing, in a whirlwind of images and sounds that left the bitter feeling of having lived a hundred lives full of anguish. Usually, people stood giddy from his chair and, with tears in their eyes, came unsteadily out of the container.

When a certain number of people had passed through the container, the woman and man at the entrance and exit, respectively, announced by megaphone the removal of the container black draperies.
In the uncapped container walls, several images labeled from the entrance and exit woman and man, before their sex change surgery, interpersing accusing fingers pics, photos of them with a black eye once they were attacked, photos of held out hands in support sign and potos of their own faces smiling and happy also.
But in the center of each side of the container, stooding above all, in rather large and different colours letters, one labeled phrase saying: "A virtual reality machine called EMPATHY".
The in front waiting crowd and the many other people cheers who even didn't get to enter the container, were the melody that accompanied those two watery eyes, adorned with joy and complicity smiles for their old link."
