Stone Soup

Last week I saw a TED talk that I mentioned to you all. If you recall, he had a quote that shot its roots down into my brain. And then, like my favorite story - I brought the "stone", and the community brought the soup! Before we go any further - here is that quote from Bjarke Ingels again...

As an update to what began, in case you weren't here last week... based on his brilliant TED talk that was filled with creativity and innovation, I decided to hold a contest that would challenge FAMILIES this summer! How could THEY come together with their joint creativity, innovation, love, laughter and determination to build something really amazing?!

I decided to start the prize off with a $55 LEGO kit and a $20 Amazon gift card - and the prize grew, grew, grew and grew! I thought it was finished growing at $430 - but @nathanmars saw that odd number and decided to add to our soup pot by gifting us another $70! so!!!! It's quite the Grand Prize that is here, people! And all you need to do is......

START CREATING!

This summer, we're encouraging ANY family that would like to join this Spunkee Monkee contest - to AMAZE US! Give form to YOUR imagination!! You have til August 15, 2019 to build something AMAZING with LEGOS. We're HUGE LEGO fans! The sky is the limit when you build with LEGOS!

What should you build? Your only guideline is amaze us!

Must you only use LEGOS? Nope. Start with them as your foundation and then go wild and ..... AMAZE us! :)

How can you submit your entry? Well, however you like! Video, pictures, diagrams, dioramas, whatever you like... just..... yep - you got it -AMAZE US! All entries will be due by August 15, 2019 NOON PST. More details to follow on where to submit! A panel of judges will decide the winner from semi-finalists, and we will announce the winner on September 1, 2019!

It's that simple! No entry fee! No limits! Just creative family fun for the summer with LEGO!

and what will the prize be? Well....I can't believe it - but we hit $500 in prizes! If anything else comes in - we will spill over any additional prizes into a second prize! If that SECOND prize ever reaches $250 - then... spill over to a third prize! As people give to the booty - we will just keep distributing!

• Spunkee Monkee will start the ball rolling with none other than the Pirate ship in a Bottle LEGO Kit! Of course! Plus $20 (can be gift card or steem, whatever is easiest to transfer) ($75 value)
