The Sun's Going Down in Glorious Golden Style
Good Evening Steemit!
I hope everyone in steemit land is having an incredible evening/morning/afternoon depending upon where you happen to be located on this globe :)
Capturing images has become a recent hobby of mine, inspired by the many amazing pictures I've seen on display here. There is something glorious about catching a moment in time and not only sharing it, but memorializing it.
And there is so much beauty in the world, it is a good thing to be reminded of when it seems we are mostly being told about its ugliness.
The first of these I took from my paren't dock, and while I've seen far more glorious sunsets over the lake, the sheer enormity of the sun and the way it reflected off the water was picture worthy in my opinion. I left shortly after, but as I was driving by the turn-around about a half mile from their house, the clouds caught my attention and I pulled over to get a few more shots.

Yeah, I'm going to be spending a bit of time at my parent's over the summer, nature is a great inspiration for me, a good place to write The Playground Series ;)
Some seriously beautiful scenery there, @dreemit. I just wish I could be whisked away and actually experience it for real, lol! :)

Thank you! I would definitely miss the water if I wasn't around it. Even when we moved to Florida for several years we lived in walking distance to the bay and a short drive to the ocean.
Really beautiful... occasionally even the ocean here will get that still during the summer, and it is truly the "magical hour." Thanks for sharing!
Thank you :) I love the lake, but I do miss the ocean. We lived on the west coast of Florida for several years near Sarasota, and the one major thing that has that we don't here is the white sand, or sand in general.

I like how lakes offer two sunsets in one shot with the reflections. That was a nice sky, I found myself looking for UFOs. Saw a chemtrail or two there. ;) Thanks for sharing the moments through your camera.
Yeah, that's what caught my eye, 'two suns'. Always with the chemtrails around here, there was a point it was so bad I nearly forgot what a normal sky and normal clouds looked like. At least it seems to have calmed down a little.

I looked for a second sun too, in the sky. I feel like there's not as much geoengineering around here lately, but they may be busy elsewhere right now. :(
Is the sad face for the other poor people being subjected to it, or because you're being left out? haha!
I guess I keep hoping it'll lose it's funding, but it's probably military ops, so still funded well enough probly! So yeah a frown for us all I guess, for now.

The Lake view is nice,absolute tranquility.
Late evening there now :) It is nice, it's not often so calm, though evening is generally when I can catch it still like that.

Oh Nice.....City of Lights.....Got a cousin there.
I'm in upstate NY, the city is about a four hour drive from here. I have family who live on Long Island (just below the city) which is where I was born and lived until I was ten, but I much prefer the country as far as where I live. The city is a lot of fun to visit though, and I generally go a few times a year :)

Nice!! If only these photos were taken as A Day in the Clouds was in the middle of the sunset part of the day, this would easily have been the SILVER LINING cover for those chapters for sure! If only the mountains weren't there, then you would've seen the green flash. Great work, my friend!

Don't worry about it :) It's hard to get the clouds during evening, and most of the ones I've put up now are either taken with high-end cameras or drawings :D
