As if you needed a reason to buy ice cream. :)

Summer and ice cream, who needs another reason.

In case you do, a sweet place to visit is Gray's Ice Cream.

Gray's Ice Cream has been making ice cream since 1923. I visited their seasonal location: Gray's Ice Cream on the Dock in Bristol, Ri.

It's a cute spot right on the water off Thames St behind the Bristol Harbor Inn.

It's really a hidden gem you might miss if you were here visiting. You can sit enjoying your ice cream and the view,

or you could check out the different bars and attractions on Thames St. You might even catch one of the different events held in this location. I personally attended a fundraiser held by March of Dimes a few years back held here. Great place to hold a function. Yet I think it's coordinated by the Inn.

Then I got some ice cream. They have lots of flavors to choose from, along with your choice of cones:
regular, sugar or waffle.

The waffle cone went great with my Butter Crunch Ice Cream.

So in case you are in the area and needed a good excuse get some ice cream.
