Nice STEEM / SBD Pump, On A VERY Significant Volume
During the last half an hour, something strange happened - in the good sense of strange. STEEM jumped with more than 1k satoshis, up to 40.5 k satoshis and now it's sitting at around 39.5k satoshis,
The Bittrex chart - above - doesn't make justice to this jump, but the Upbit chart, below, does:
The volume on that half an hour, on Upbit is almost equal to the entire day :) The SBD chart is seeing a similar pattern too.
Anyone knows something about any news that might have caused this?

Looks like a reaction to the Asian rally in bitcoin and ether. I've noticed over the past few months that SBD tends to have these abrupt pumps when bitcoin starts going up.
The Wiess report may have had some effect too.
Probably not the report but explanation on why they valued STEEM so high.

I was encouraged when I read it.
IMHO it was fair enough about STEEM. At least now (from this explanation) I can guess on how they evaluate other cryptos in their rating.

No idea mate but I hope it continues, I believe steem and Steemit have a great future it’s still early days for both now and then you hear predictions of $ 10 and I used to be Sceptical but as time goes one I now think it’s only a matter of time. Thanks mike

Who actually pumps this thing? This question has been on my mouth since I joined steemit and I haven't gotten an answer to it.

I usually get a bit scared when I see sudden pumps, but this seems tiny, so I won't worry. I've seen many cryptocurrencies get a sudden pump and then plop into nothingness. Do you think this will just help it go up faster in the long term?
