Nice STEEM Pump Going On Now, On Significant Volume
I was just putting together the screenshots for my regular market snapshot posts when I saw two beautiful green candles, on significant volume on Bittrex:
The volume for the last hour, included in those two candles, is almost twice the entire volume of the day until them.
When looking at Upbit, the trend is confirming and, although a slowdown seems to be imminent, the gains are significant:
This pump is even more significant as it occurs on a predominantly bearish market, but more on that soon, in the market snapshot post.

i loveeee the smell of green candles in the morning! nothing like starting your day off green :) this looks super positive - but can't find any news. has anyone heard or seen what's causing the spike? its also reallllly interesting because just about everything else looks to be in the red. only other green cryptos on my watchlist are Ether, and its just 1%. where do you go to find STEEM specific crypto news and trends? would love to add it to my bookmarks. i use an assortment of apps - #stocktwits(twitter for stocks basically) is great but not heavily focused on crypto so not a lot of talk outside the big ones.

Love how steem has the ability to act independent of bitcoin and even though it’s not mutually exclusive, it’s held up very well in the bearish markets the past 4-6 weeks

No, not any time soon because of not enough positive market sentiment.
I'd rather disagree. The fact that STEEM / SBD are rebounding on a bearish market indicates a lot more positive sentiment towards the two assets.

Since the price is now just around 3.5$ per steem. Looks like some steemians are planning to stack up on some cheap steem until the discounts are there.
and so we all should. Investing in the Steem platform is very important. I honestly believe these prices won't be around for long and when things really pick up they will be seen as a massive bargain. :) Happy Steeming

So good to see STEEM is jumping up after very hard day to the market i was sure to see the price keep getting down for anther day or 2 , this is a very nice surprise for me

The pump is really great news, since we have had some drop in the price. I hope this new wave last for a while so as to make some trade benefits
