Tarryall Reservoir Part 1

in #photography7 years ago (edited)

Welcome to the first glance at some of Colorado. Featured is Tarryall Reservoir, along with some of the drive to get there. No matter how many times I drive through the mountains (or even around town), I can't help but stare at the scenery. A horrible struggle of paying attention to the road and soaking in the beauty around you. I'm not sure I'll ever grow used to it. There is a different beauty to each season....to each weather condition.

A funny story about this reservoir....Drew and I happen to venture out alone a couple days apart and ironically, out of all of Colorado, ended up exploring to the same area. He was on a mission to go trout fishing. I was merely out to embrace these glorious mountains. We stumbled across this place during winter and how interesting it was to see people ice fishing. What we found to be more interesting, was how different the scenery was during the opposite season. It was like looking at a completely different area.

So with the glory of my Samsung Galaxy S7, I present to you part 1....winter version. Enjoy!

This place is also where he happened to catch us our first trout dinner.

Great scenery @dragons. I would have loved to see some of the behind the scenes of the trout fishing. :)

Thanks. I've only been out with him fishing once thus far. And the creek was flowing so fast you couldn't see in the water. But I shall keep this in mind for future posts.

Awesome! Safety does come first. I look forward to seeing some more posts in the future. I will certainly follow.

Gorgeous! That would be a good place to find a spot with a good view and do the same photo in all four seasons.

Yes unfortunately my photos are not consistent with location and positioning. But I could make it happen.

Nice pictures, following you now :

So pretty!
You've had to loved moving out there with enjoying the outdoors so much!

Thanks hon. The lack of humidity is even more enjoyable for the outdoors. Tho we are closer to the sun so you can burn easier.

Heeeeeere fishy fishy!

Part 2 will have a shot of Drew actually fishing. hehe

Amazing landscapes. I have never actually caught trout.

Neither have I and he has struggled so far. Much different than back home.

Beautiful place , thanks for sharing.
Please check my posts and share your thoughts.

I can't wait to come hike with you
