Atomic swapping Decred (DCR) looking set to explode *Trade Recommendation*
Decred stands for decentralized credit as a cryptocurrency that uses a hybridized consensus system to strike a balance between miners and users.
Its been in the crypto news world for the last few months with news of atomic swaps that have been completed between Litecoin (LTC) and Decred (DCR), as well as Vertcoin (VTC) and most mostly recently Viacoin (VIA). If you missed out on VTC then DCR might be for you!
The graph below shows a 3-month supporting trend vs a 6-week resistance trend. Naturally the news of atomic swaps for Decred boosted it's price in late August to over $40, that before the bull-run lay around the price it is now.
My prediction is that Decred won't fall below $25 due to the growing support waiting there since October 9th, suggesting the tide is finally turning. Hence my bullish predictions for the short-term stand at $52.
The graph below highlights this rising tension as it's twice aimed at testing the $25 support trend in recent days, but both times buyers stepped in. Today saw another defiant break to $29 as the crypto approached $26, continuing in its temporary $25-30 range.
If Decred does break $25, then there is even stronger support around $22.50. This was first initiated at the end of July, relied upon twice in August, and most notably its September 15th low. This is the last resort support, that should also be considered a stop loss.
With an impressive all-time high of $48.46 on June 24th 2017, there is still plenty of growth left for Decred as atmoic swaps continue their development to become implemented into the modern world of cryptocurrency exchange.
Trade recommendation: $22.50-$27.50 ($25 if you're lucky)
Not sure in this one but UP and follow ;)
Thanks, I know what you mean! It was a bit of an optimistic analysis, notably DCR has now destroyed $25. I have some hope left in this prediction though, will a conditional sell order at 0.00375 ($22.50), it went down to 0.0038 before charging back upto $28 briefly. It's not out the woods yet that's for sure!
At least one thing was about right: strong buying interest approaching $22.50 that's yet to be broken.
What about now? :p
