The whole conservative/liberal thing is Hegelian dialectic: Divide the pie of what is true into two opposing ideologies. That way, people who care about the truth (the only people who actually matter as far as fixing problems) are divided into two camps based on the parts of the truth that are more important to them. Both sides appreciate portions of the libertarian platform, but don't understand that liberty consistent with the Constitutional model is the focal point, because both sides have been intentionally designed to mire those who would change things into endless conflict.
