You Choose to be Happy
When people are unhappy or depressed they often think that they can't do anything to become happy and they will always be the way they are, thoughts like this are very common however just because they are there doesn't mean you have to listen to them. In the short term it can also seem easier to stay unhappy rather than putting yourself out there and trying to become happy.
It sounds counter intuitive saying people choose to be unhappy, though it is often the case with many people. It is easy to say that you are feeling to bad to go out or even get out of bed but this just isn't true. People say this often subconsciously because it takes pressure away from them as they think it is no longer in their hands, however all this does is keep people in a hole.
It is surprisingly simple to get out of the hole although simple doesn't mean easy. Simply all you need to do is start telling yourself that you are able to get out of bed and you are able to help yourself, this will give you the belief that you can do it.
Now it is hard to actually execute that, but hard does not mean impossible. You just have to take it step by step, don't try to do everything at once and overwhelm yourself then quickly give up. It is a matter of each day doing something more; make yourself some healthy food one day, look for a hobby the next day, go outside the day after and so on.
If you fall down at a step any number of times get back up and try again until you succeed. It may cause pain in the short term forcing yourself to get things done but it won't be nearly as painful as never choosing to be happy.
Motivation may be hard to come by, but you can find it in the strangest of places if you just go. Upvote, comment and follow for more.
