Backpacking Hong Kong

If you want to experience the Chinese culture with the mix of the Western Culture, Hong Kong is a great place to visit on the Cheap.

Their subway and bus system is fantastic, and with the Octopus Card, you can use it for Taxi, Bus, Subway, and most of the stores around town.
Unlike Mainland China, everyone speaks English in Hong Kong so if you need any help or advice you won't have a language problem.

If you want to save money for your travels and don't mind Hostel there several throughout Hong Kong that is great for about $150 HK dollars about $20 USD YES INN @ Causeway Bay You get free Wifi, and it is close to the subway system.r

Yesinn @Causeway Bay is a new hostel located near Causeway Bay subway station in central Hong Kong, across the road from the bus from the airport. Opened in 2012, this hostel has some great extras such as a massage chair, free coffee and tea, and personal reading lights. One Hostelworld traveler praised the hostel for its 'clean room, comfortable beds, modern and very clean bathroom, expedient and clean kitchen with a good choice of music, helpful and friendly staff [and its] good location'. We like their two roof terraces.

When you arrive at the Hong Kong Airport it is very easy to get through customs they give you 90 entry VISA as you clear customs, and you don't need a VISA like you would in Mainland China. There is a simple form you have to fill out as you arrive at the airport.

From Hong Kong Airport:
By Bus A11: Take Airport Shuttle Bus No. A11, get off at Wan Chai Fire Station (Hennessy Road), yesinn @CAUSEWAY BAY is above NCB Bank, which is left opposite of the bus station. The 50 minutes ride will cost HK$40 (Recommended). The last trip will be at 00:45 AM from airport.

N11 Overnight shuttle bus:
If you arrive after 00:40 AM, you can take over night shuttle bus N11 (HK$40) get off on Gloucester Road next to Elizabeth House. Then turn left (East direction) to Percival Street. Along the Percival Street, you will cross Jaffe Road, Lockhart Road and Hennessy Road. Then turn right along Hennessy Road, cross small Tang Lung Street. The hostel is above NCB Bank, which is a small stairway on Tang Lung Street. The last trip will be departure from airport at 04:45 AM.

By MTR (Subway): Take Airport Express to Hong Kong Station, change to MTR (Hong Kong Subway) Island Line towards Chai Wan direction. Get off at Causeway Bay Station, proceed through Exit C. Cross Percival Street and then turn left along Percival Street for one block. Cross Hennessy Road and turn right along Hennessy Road, cross small Tang Lung Street. The hostel is above NCB Bank, which is a small stairway on Tang Lung Street. The 50 minutes ride will cost HK$100. The last train will be departure from airport at 00:40.

By Taxi: Take a Taxi, please ask Taxi driver take off at the end of Tang Lung Street ,which is next to NCB Bank. The 30-45 minutes ride will cost around HK$350 inclusive all the charge.

Times Square is right next to your stay at YES Inn one of the high-end shopping center in Hong Kong along with a Subway system located in the Mall.

While in Hong Kong if you would like to do some gambling in the Las Vegas of Asia Macau in just a two turbojet Ride. For about $240 HK dollars about $30 USD.

Dragon Mountain is one of the places you should visit you can see all of Hong Kong and Shenzhen from atop of this mountain.

Visiting the Large Buddha While in Hong Kong is another place to visit and is worth the time to visit this large Buddha.
