Contest - Easter Egg #1 - Dream

The first word I wrote early in the morning on April 7, 2023, was 'Dream'.

After writing the word dream, I wrote at least a thousand more words. In my writing journey that began with the word dream, I looked into a distant galaxy.

I tried unsuccessfully to plagiarize a line from a Wordsworth poem while holding a cup of hot tea from a roadside restaurant.

I was sitting at a table in a cafe, trying to write a nursery rhyme. Maybe I will learn to love or hate the word dream soon after reading this nursery rhyme I wrote myself. At one point, I tried to write about sitting with my girlfriend on a boat on the banks of the Ganges.

I'm afraid of drowning; maybe that's why I deleted this line later. I am a good swimmer, but maybe mermaids either love me or hate me. Still, I don't believe in dreams.

I probably wouldn't have to buy a ticket to write poetry, so I took it to my favorite place. After the third drink in the middle of that pale green and pink forest, I told her "I love you",

I tried to tell her, "I'm not perfect; I'm not balanced; I don't dream. Here in this country, dreaming is an art. In this art, people convert even crooked, half-slanted, or broken things into beautiful dreams.

If I break this glass by throwing it on the ground, then maybe I will find a dream in your eyes; your eyes are a dream in themselves that can make all ugly things beautiful.

I want you to look at me once with your eyes for a while. I am ready to spend the rest of my life as a dream in someone's eyes.

I paused for a long time after writing this. Maybe for hours. Where I live, or from where I sit and write, there is a tree. Maybe it is a banyan tree, but I can't see it clearly in my dream.

I stopped writing and prayed for a long time for this tree to turn into a banyan tree. But perhaps some hungry bird pecked my prayer, thinking it was a grain. I love birds so much that I spend a lot of time dreaming so that I can sit under this tree.

Or maybe I am very scared of hunger, and that's why I dream because I get food in my dreams, but dreams are very rare to me.

I do not visit the universe because I want to find a new planet, but there must be someone in this universe who will teach me a prayer that will grow bread on the trees, so a hungry person like me will not have to dream to survive starving.

I don't even know that I have written the phrase "I love dreams" hundreds of times. But till now there is only this unknown tree next to me. That's why I have started erasing all my writing. While erasing my writing, I stopped on the word love many times, and then after seeing this tree, I felt disappointed because there is no bread on it. Maybe I need a dream right now.

After erasing a lot of words from my writing, now only one word is left on my screen: "dream." After a while, I will probably scan this word, print it out, put it in a photo frame, and hang it on the wall of my room.

I know if anyone will see this photo frame, they may not understand anything. But this word in this photo frame is only for me. for my dream. for my writing. For all the trees where bread grows, there is hunger.

And maybe for my unseen dreams. My #dream uninterpreted
