Actualmente el mundo vive una Pandemia, distintos laboratorios ya están trabajando en la creación de vacunas para esta, de hecho en muchos países ya han sido vacunadas muchas personas. También hay diversas opiniones encontradas respecto a la eficacia o seguridad de esta vacuna, pero indaguemos un poco sobre las vacunas y después saquemos conclusiones.

Se dice que la primera vacuna fue descubierta por un médico inglés llamado Edgar Jenner en 1796 para combatir la viruela.
Una vacuna se elabora en un proceso complejo que requiere varias etapas, y debe cumplir con una serie de requisitos y pruebas antes de su aprobación. Según los expertos para que una vacuna esté lista, probada y aprobada para su comercialización es necesario alrededor de 10 años de trabajo.

Las vacunas son creadas con organismos vivos como bacterias y virus, por lo tanto debe ser explorado minuciosamente e identificar los genes para obtener una respuesta eficaz , se debe verificar que está sea efectiva primeramente pero algo tan importante como su eficacia también lo es verificar si produce efectos adversos. La fase preclínicos de las vacunas no se realiza en humanos, sino que inicialmente es probada en animales. De esta respuesta va a depender que la vacuna siga su próxima fase, de ser positiva se llevaría a tres fases en humanos.
