Jeremiah's Sadness

Jeremiah was the last prophet sent by God to the southern kingdom, he was a faithful and generous man of God, Jeremiah is known as the weeping prophet, Jeremiah cried tears of sadness for the people, he begged them to listen and repent. He was too sad because no matter how hard the people tried they would not listen.

Jeremías faced sadness and frustration, God had forbidden him to marry and have children, humanly he had no consolation, his friends had turned their backs on him, and perhaps what caused him the most pain was that he already knew the outcome, the coming judgment. . Jeremiah loved his people and as a man of God he wanted them to repent but in his heart he knew that would not happen. In Jeremiah chapter 9 we can read an example of his crying.

In Jeremiah's sadness we can also see God's sadness reflected by his people who were in apostasy and did not heed any of the warnings sent through Jeremiah.

Jeremiah preached for 40 years without obtaining fruits, Jeremiah was discouraged, he was emotionally worn out, it is normal that sometimes we can experience depression, discouragement or rejection in our walk, this is part of growth, but Jeremiah was able to find a consolation that we can read in Jeremiah 33: 3.

In short, the antidote to sadness and frustration is to enter the presence of God, because only then will you receive consolation. There is nothing more comforting than feeling the love of God and that love gives us authority over any circumstance.

It is normal that going through the various situations of life we ​​also feel the same emotions that Jeremías had, God can give us a task or purpose and along the way we have so many oppositions, or we do not find help and comfort, sometimes nobody believes in what God gives us.

He has given and we feel alone, but we must bear in mind that if God gives us something it is because He will be there to supply our needs.

In God we will always find the comfort we need to continue, He will always give us strategies and he will be there to lift us up to meet that goal that he has entrusted to us.

If you feel sad remember that it is normal, but you must overcome it in the presence of God, where you will be filled with joy and love to reach the promised destination.

If we manifest in our being the same emotions that Jeremiah had, we must not forget that comfort can only be given to us by our God.
