Today I want to show you all a classic Uruguayan tart. Pascualina! Traditionally done with a flaky pastry filled with silverbeet and spinach, onions and egg.

Some say that when Paul McCartney came here to give a show in 2014 he was blown away by the simplicity yet deliciousness behind this traditional and simple meal.

The way to go is simple. Sauté some onions, garlic, capsicum. On the side blench the greens (spinach/ silverbeet), drain and chop finely. Ad the chopped greens to the cooked onions and peppers. Add some grated cheese, 1 egg and voliá you have the filling.
For the dough there are many options, the ideal is something flaky.



Cover the tray with the dough, put the filling in, cover with some more dough and do some small holes with some scissors.
Bake at 180 degrees celsius for around 40 minutes.

Let cool, and enjoy !
