UNLEASH YOUR CREATIVITY Action Nine
I loved when I did this exercise. I was allowing my stubborn, controlled mind to unleash my creativity, off the wall
freedom mind. It was so empowering.
My ex-husband was a systems analyst he had a problem solving mentality walked a straight, safe, mondain life or should I say existence. During marriage I would come up all sorts of what I called unique ideas would pop up in my mind and I would share them with my hubby what I thought was exciting and brilliant he thought was stupid and useless. Looking back I see how I had lost my identify (which I have recaptured) but the most importantly thing is when I look back my ideas are not always perfect sometimes not even feasible but boy are they creative. The point is open yourself up to unlimited creativity with unbounding energy you will be amazed at how much of your passion, fire, freedom, reckless etc part of your being you have stuffed away. Like Braveheart said "FREEDOM"
Usher believes creativity is in our DNA; it's in everyone, not just the creative class. We all start our lives as creative beings but for many that spark becomes lost over time. How do we jump-start our creative process as adults? What does it means to be a creative person? How do we follow through with our ideas and turn them into tangible outcomes?
Think about your own Pink Elephants.
I know you've had them. Ideas that seemed too big, unwieldy, and unrealistic.
Write down a few of your own thoughts. Pink Elephant ideas.
Once you write it down it is not just a cluttered thought in your head. It is written, it is real.
Ya we must open up and unleash them because that gets the brain working to continue to find more. There is amazing ideas inside all of us and we must find them! We are all amazing creators in my opinion! :D
I remember in the late 60's dripping my potato chips in malt vinegar and telling my Mama I thought they should come up with Vinegar chips. What I got was a "I don't know where you come up with these ridiculous ideas...now hush". I don't HUSH anymore no matter what my creative brain my soul thoughts may through out there.
What! You would of been world wide famous for that one! :D Ya let those ideas flow! :)
Get this. I told the ex I wanted to start a service with some of the Top Real Estate Agents in Markham and Unionville in the 1980's that they would give me there schedule for the day and I would go in 2 hours before and do a quick organizing (making sure beds made, no clutter anywhere(put in closet in boxes) dishes done etc. so everything looking perfect coz its all about presentation...right. It was a mini-staging idea. He thought I was off my rocker....and the younger me listened. So I had to divorce him...tee hee.
That is an awesome idea and always needs to be done usually by agents themselves. It is all about the presentation for selling homes. I have been in real estate for a decade now. Smart move :)
Inspiring post, great mental excersise! Writing is creating and if you can imagine it and put it on paper it gives it life, another thing that gives it even more life is to share it until it spreads like wild fire!
