Ways to improve memorization skills

There are 4 types of memorization skills and if you have those 4 skills then you are what we called "Memory Catcher"

First type is what we called, AUDITORY LEARNERS.

Auditory learners are those people who can easily memorize by listening, mostly these kind of persons are into music.

Here are the tips to improve it.

•Repetition is the key. The more you repeat what your memorizing it will eventually stick into your head. but it takes time.

•Have a break. well our brain is like a machine and like a machine, use it properly so it needs a break time. Scientist proves that every twenty minutes that you use your mind on memorizing it needs 20 mins break it helps the brain memorize new things better.

•Listen to yourself. Record yourself saying what needs to be memorized once, then play it back to yourself while you sleep. Though this doesn't work well for teaching you new, unfamiliar information, the repetition in your sleep can help prime you to reinforce concepts you have already consciously acquired.

The second type is the VISUAL LEARNERS.
Visual so it means through looking at it they memorize it as easy as one, two, three. But not all visual learners are like these there are people who needs twice or trice looking at it to memorize correctly.

So how to improve this?

•Take a long hard look. Best tips for them is to take a long look at the subject.

•Color code your information by type. This is easy right? we do this mostly if there is something important we dont want to forget (highlight) For example, if you're memorizing history notes, then color code them by dates or key people. George Washington is blue, Ben Franklin is orange, anything about the Revolution is red, King George is green, etc.

The third type is the TACTILE LEARNERS.
They are the people that need the thing to process the data to memorize.These people are good at drawing, paintingand everything in arts that they need to touch.

How to improve?

•Memorize abstracts. If you're memorizing abstractions, such as the the answer of exam, write down the individual answer or steps on each flash card. Then personalize each flash card with stickers or drawings. After personalizing, scramble the cards and attempt to put them in order. Be sure that you write down the order somewhere or you'll never remember what the sequence was.

•Other tips from other types can help you too.

The last type is the READER TYPE.
People that "they can memorize what they read."
If you are a reader type, then you can memorize best what you can read. Perhaps you incorporate elements of visual learning, or maybe your earliest learning experiences centered on reading and it feels solid and real to you.

•Read what you must memorize and read it over and over again.
•Usually, the brain loves seeing colors and pictures, so, when you write notes, write them out colorfully or draw them in pictures.
•Test yourself. Read a question on the front of the card, and see if your answer matches what you wrote down.
•Repeat to others. Find a willing friend, and teach him or her what you have learned, then have your friend test you.
•When you teach others, not only do you teach others some new knowledge, but you memorize what you taught them a little better.
•Keep reading until you memorize it by heart.
