NSA Busy Collecting Too Much Useless Data With Their Massive Spying Efforts

in #spying5 years ago

The NSA has been spying on millions of people for years now.

In 2018, it's reported that warrantless searchers rose significantly for Americans being spied on, spiking at least 28 percent or more, despite the revelations that have come out about the extent of the spying and the push-back from the public on the issue in the past.

Thousands of warrantless searches involving people's e-mails, text messages, and phone calls, have been collected just last year alone.

all in the name of safety...

But what is the cost of all this? Aside from the erosion of personal liberty, any semblance of checks and balances that are supposed to ensure that Constitutional rights are upheld, it's been quite high.

This is an organization that is operating with a multi-billion dollar annual budget and despite spying for more than a decade, it's alleged that their efforts have failed to thwart any large terror attack.

Now, even the NSA themselves have admitted to the fruitlessness of the endeavor, previously requesting that the massive spying start to be scaled back.

Both the legal and logistical burdens that come along with trying to maintain the spying agenda are more harmful than beneficial.

The effort and resources that go into this endeavor and spying on millions of people for years now has proven to far outweigh any intelligence that they might retrieve.

it isn't worth it.

The majority of the information that is being collected, isn't any good and will likely never prove to be useful. For the sake of personal liberty and the greater good of the country entirely, it would be better to bring such a wasteful program to a close. It's okay to admit that it might have been a multi-billion dollar mistake and to try going in another direction to see if you don't get some better results.

Everything for the purpose of national security against the war on terror!

We should scale back the spying by getting rid of the NSA... And the CIA.

Typical Government Issue: over controlling, redundant, superfluous, unnecessary and costly. Thank God there is an exit now.

just gotta vote right😂 🙈any day now

Well Hell, I certainly hop so....been dragging put toooo long.

at least there's popcorn :)

Well, I guess I'm doing my part on the war on terror by letting the NSA spy on my orders of pizza and calls to tech support. I wonder how long their spying calls had been on hold due to some lazy company.
