New Hampshire Bill Seeks To Nullify Common Core

A new bill (HB207) has been introduced in New Hampshire that is looking to end Common Core in the state.
Specifically, the bill would prohibit the department of education, as well as the state board of education, from requiring any public elementary or secondary school district or school to implement the standards that are associated with the Common Core program. If the bill passes, it would effectively seek to nullify the controversial education program within that state.

Aside from preventing those institutions from being able to force students to be subjected to that educational program, it will also include changes that now require the New Hampshire General Court to go ahead and approve of any future education standards before they are made.

New Hampshire isn't the only state battling against Common Core standards, as that program has amassed a number of critics not only around the U.S but around the world. There are many students and parents who are against nationalized education standards as such, and they'd instead prefer it if education involved true academic choice and personal freedom.

There are number of teachers who have spoken out against common core as well, including teachers unions positioning themselves against it, along with parents and students. Thousands of people have already signed petitions against this educational standardized program.
A number of states have also gone ahead and repealed Common Core already, with more looking to follow suit.

The NH bill, which was introduced by four Republican legislators, has already been referred to the House Education Committee. And those who'd like to see the bill passed are urged to contact members of the committee.

i wish i could say that the governments are finally doing something right, but all they're doing is fixing a tiny part of all the enormous mistakes they continue to make.
Great info. I never heard of common core before. ☆☆☆☆☆😎
be glad! lol
I'm new to this Common Core thing. Does it prescribe what the educational program must look like or just what pupils must know and be able to do when they finish their schooling?
