Mom Sends Warning After Finding Images Of Her Son On Instagram

A San Diego mother is warning parents about putting pictures of their children online after she discovered an account that had been posting thousands of images of half-naked children, including her own son.

It started when she randomly had seen a like from an account called ilikestrongkids50, and the strange name prompted her to view the account and she suddenly was seeing thousands of images of children and she recognized photos there of her own son.

Quickly, she messaged the account owner and asked what they were doing posting all of those images, to which they responded that they were not posting porn.

The people she had seen liking those images on the questionable page were older men who she claims had fetish pages. After being blocked from the page, the mom quickly contacted Instagram and the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children.

It's reported that at least 100 parents or more have reported the page to Instagram and the company finally removed the account for having violated their policies, suggesting that the account owner had been using the platform with the intention to sexualize minors.

For parents who can't help themselves but share about every moment of their kids' lives online with the world, they should know that they are offering up free content for those out there who might have undesirable motives, who might steal and use the content without your consent.

But parents can make it much more difficult for them by adjusting their privacy settings.

It is surprising that an account with such an odd name, was able to steal and post thousands of images of half-dressed children without capturing the attention of Instagram police, at least not as quickly as some cannabis pages seem to, that get purged from the platform in no time.

Aside from warning the site, Wagner also notified the police but they said that because it wasn't considered child porn as the children were half-dressed, that all they could do was make a report about the incident.

Aside from setting privacy settings to be stricter, Wagner also suggests that parents get active in looking at just who might be looking at their children's social media pages and following them regularly, there might be something to find there and some suspicious activity to uncover.

This is horrible! Also i have a theory on why so many cannabis pages get shut down. Its because there are a lot of haters in the cannabis community who report there competition, or someone there jealous of. Which that is one goal of Canna-Curate. To unite the community. Cause trust me, there are so many growers who cant get along. It is quite sad. But not as sad as this article.

that is sad! if only they could build each other up and support each other.. what a community it would be then!

Very good point made. I always think of that, when friends posting
their childrens photo.
And Google (IG) "protecting" pedophiles and other satanic stuff
is no surprise....sadly...
Protect the children, post less pics and videos of them.

Also heard today of an increase in signals of child porn. WTF is wrong with people ?!

Very good friends

Muy peligroso todo esto la verdad. Pero es lo que toca enfrentar en este día y era. Aún más con tantos avances tecnológicos. Saludos hermano.

It's the same with TikTok too which is big on bringing in kids to the platform, it's just not well-publicized but there are plenty of horror stories. these platforms don't care about how their tools are used all they care about is traffic.

They've been playing in this grey area for far too long, if this was any small site it would have been taken down so fast, this really is double standards
