There are more than 20 states that are already moving forward with plans to reopen for business after shutting down thanks to the coronavirus. You can see those states in the map above which are listed in green, that signals that they have already made partial efforts to start changing things and are reopening.

On The Move

This includes places like Texas, Georgia, Alabama, and other regions. There are still a few that remain in more severe lockdown as you can see from the red states shown in the map.

Places like California, New York, and Oregon, are still going to have stay at home orders to follow across the state, for non-essential travel and gatherings.

For places like California and elsewhere that are still at home, they might only be days away from changing those restrictions and following along with other states in moving to reopen for business.

In various circumstances, officials have signaled that this is a coordinated effort they are undertaking and that healthcare professionals will be working alongside with them to determine the right course of action. They will be monitoring the situation closely and will be ready to make adjustments if they see a severe negative consequence etc from having made those moves to open.

Already, hotels in Vegas are making plans to start accepting reservations soon toward the end of May, and schools are planning for in-person classes to resume by this fall. Some international air travel and other travel services are also slowly starting to resume as well. It still might be months yet until more commercial flights can come and go as usual. Though it has been suggested by some travel experts that we could see more domestic travel start to resume by as early as June.
