Can't Wait To Travel Again

in #travel6 years ago

The recent cancellation of travel plans that many have had to endure will no doubt persuade some people to take quite a bit of time before getting back to feeling comfortable with traveling again once everything goes back to whatever the new normal will be.

But will this be the case for the majority?

Or perhaps, with everyone who was forced to cancel plans and stay at home, they will be eager to get away as soon as they can to take a proper vacation? One that they are surely to be much more appreciative of when they will be able to experience that freedom again.

In that case it might not take much time for the travel industry to bounce back.

One recent survey of Americans' opinions on travel found that about 1 in 5 would be comfortable with non-essential travel by next year.

Another survey indicates that many Chinese people would also be willing to travel if the epidemic ended and restrictions were lifted.

For many, the reason that they wouldn't want to travel just yet is because of fear over getting the virus. As soon as a vaccine becomes readily available that too might prompt more people to ease their fears in getting back to engaging in some travel plans.

Regardless of the drastic changes that have taken place over the last several weeks, a decent portion of those surveyed indicated that they would be willing to start traveling again as early as May of this year, with even more admitting they'd be ready by June.

So far, it's predicted that the virus is going to cause the loss of tens of millions of jobs within the tourism market, along with billions of dollars in revenue. That's millions of vacations that didn't take place this year and many businesses around the world that are going to suffer greatly as a result.

I can’t wait to travel again. We booked Venice for late August before all this lockdown 🤞🏽

It’s unimaginable the extent of damage this has started to cause around the world!

The tourism crisis associated with the coronavirus is one of the toughest tests for the global travel industry in decades. Experts have different opinions here. Some even say that nothing on a comparable scale has happened in international tourism since the end of World War II. The experience of past crises shows that after the pandemic is over, the number of tourists in the world will multiply, but the industry's financial performance won't. And the profitability of tourism will become lower. I don't dare to travel abroad yet, but I like to travel within the country and find the current schedule and train connections.
