My STEEM Journey... Part 7steemCreated with Sketch.

These blogs are a series of posts about my “digging deeper” into STEEM’s possibilities, apps and opportunities. I’m trying to learn as much as possible and I want to share these experiments and experiences with you my fellow STEEMians. It’s the kind of post series I would have loved to have for myself when I started here in STEEM. Well at least I try to live up to this ideal whit my articles. But again I do this for myself to document my – hopefully – progress here in STEEM. Maybe these are of some help for you too?

Anyways I’m very interested in your feedback!

Here the list of posts in this series I’ve published before:

General points...

The performance in terms of interactions with fellow Steemians, upvotes, resteems, comments and returns of these articles vary.

I played around a little with STEEM bounty and upvote services. On the article before this one I've used three different upvote/resteem services (raise-me-up, sezenke and at last upmewhale).

Just to explain again… as I wrote in my first article on my STEEM journey I did not want to use any extra dedicated "boosting" by buying dedicated upvote/resteem services (but I’ve got vests placed for general “lifts” in recognition / see my delegations under https://steembottracker.com/delegation.html) for a set of articles. Just to see how they would be recognized organically.

So the articles 1-3 besides a STEEM bounty I put on the 3’rd article which can be a form of boosting too.

Here the overview of the different articles in regards to upvotes, resteems, comments and expected USD/SP values.

Again… I’m very thankful for all readers, upvotes, resteemers and commentators! Part of this journey is to check out where one can get to with such a set of posts in the form of experiments.

In general it should not come at any surprise to you as fellow Steemians that recognition here in STEEM is everything to get curation and to grow an account.
Of course, this way of looking at my efforts here is no scientific hardened approach but it should give a rough estimate about what’s achievable given all the previous mentioned factors.

My update for today on my "todo's" I've again placed between the bullet points. So let's see...
  • learn something about STEEM or STEEM projects every day!

  • ☑️ Yes that happened again! - There is still 1 STEEM project/initiative left that I will look into. I will do that sometime in the next seven days.

  • Blockchain analysis: I’m still working on that… I’m looking at a lot of data from all over the place. But I’m especially interested in the methods/“tricks” that are used by some very successful accounts.

  • _Short description…for this… I started digging deeper into our STEEM blockchain already some weeks ago but not very structured. I’m interested in - What are the most successful accounts doing besides their posts and curation to grow their following and SP? - From which account to account interactions could you come to the assumption that they are handled by the same individual or group of individuals? - Why is this of interest? I'll give you some more hints... pseudo intransparent upvotes/resteems, bidirectional referral handling (collecting on referrals, bonuses and so on) just to name two examples that are used to "make" more STEEM. -
  • I stumbled over this while I was looking into how fellow Steemians invest into SBI.

To clarify... I won't drop any account names but I'll report about the methods and mechanisms that I’ve seen. I can tell you so much already... I was shaking my head a lot the last few days not because of what I've seen here but because how naive I was... hahaha!

In the last article I wrote about a selection of solutions to use STEEM blockchain data for some data analysis. There are a lot of possibilities but in an ease of use approach I showed in some detail the use of https://steemit.accusta.tk/ to harvest the data needed to do some playing around with it in spreadsheets.
Please use the report https://steempeak.com/steem/@doifeellucky/my-steem-journey-part-6-steem-blockchain-analysis
to look this up if you like.

Today I’ll look at “Magic Dice”

First things first. I think gambling with money is not for everyone. Please make sure you give it some deep thought before you possibly try it out and maybe get hooked!

Remember casinos only exist because the house always wins in the long run.

That’s no bet but a certainty!

So here on Magic Dice you can shoot some dice, you can use their referral program, 10% of bets lost that you’ve brought into magic dice with your referral link and even make some extra with their own reward system the “Magic Token”.

The idea behind the magic token is that you can own a part of a casino – in a way – when you collect magic token. These tokens are spread over all players.

The edge of the house is 2%. They use the returns to fund the operation, further the development and to promote.

They even give upvote to their players and the more you play the higher your chance to get Magic Dice upvotes.

Yesterday I’ve showed you how some could possibly misuse bidirectional/or multi directional share distribution in steem basic income by buying the majority of shares only for the own accounts (primary + alt accounts). Keep this in mind while you see the following details of this article(!!!).
Imagine you do the same with Magic Dice and their referral program while gaining Magic Token’s on the way as well. This means that your potential losses in Magic Dice would be reduced by the “Magic Token” and STEEM dividend payout.

Interesting, right?

For every STEEM wagered you get 12,5 Magic Token at the moment. These numbers are halved while the limited number of Magic Token’s are distributed in 10% steps.
So, if you do that and you want to make as much Magic Token (share in the casino) what do you do?

Well, you gamble a lot.

You could do this manually or… you could automate that. Yes! Use one of the many dice bot solutions out there. I’ll show you one that I’ve used.

https://github.com/mydicebot/mydicebot.github.io/releases

Here’s a nice article on dicebot: https://steemit.com/utopian-io/@mydicebot/mydicebot-190122-is-released-and-simulator-is-available-now

So, you can not only use the basics in dicebot you can use one of their provided or your own gambling algorithm as well by using scripts and you can run some simulations with those scripts before risking your own coins.

Really "noice", don’t you think?

The manual shooting dice looks like this.

Yay! Wagered one STEEM won two STEEM!

So let's go next level with Dicebot! Let me show you how using the dicebot works.

First you'll have to install the executable for your operating system. I'm using Dicebot on an virtual Windows machine...

https://github.com/mydicebot/mydicebot.github.io/releases

After installation and starting the executable you can access your dicebot via 127.0.0.1:3000/login using your browser

Here you select "Magic Dice" in the left pane and login with your STEEM account (account and active key needed).

Now you can see in the lower left pane the different options "Manual/Auto/Script" and the different settings in terms of variables like multiplies, when to stop and so on.

Here an example of an manual bet...

Next I started an auto run with the following settings... (careful though! The default bet is 49 which is risky!)

...and you see after a few runs I already caught myself a bloody nose!

I hate loosing so... I made an little more aggressive move and wagered 500 STEEM on an < 94 bet... and won.

The next few auto runs I played it a little more safe with < 95 and not extra multipliers on wins or losses.

That's all fine but there's not much happening either... result wise...

To compensate a little for losses I've added the multiplier * 2 when lost. The next win resets to base bet.

I upped this even a little more by setting the multiplier to 10 when loosing reset to base bet when winning.

At last here the run of one of the scripts that come with the bot. You'll have to make some adjustments depending on the base bet you won't to use and when the script should stop (win sum and so on). But it's pretty straight forward and easy.

So here the script example…. (bot-regression-sample.lua)

From the comment section of this script...

This script doubles the bet after a loss but starts at a very high chance of success: 95%. After each bet the chance reduces enough to bring equilibrium to profit but stops reducing chance at 49.5%. First loss goes from 95% to 67%, then 57% and then gradually lower and closer to 49.5%. It basically buys you a few more higher probability roles before the same old 49.5% martingale.

]]

And since I wanted to stop on a bigger win... I've once again risked 500 STEEM with a < 95 bet... and won... phew....

All in all I made a profit of 38.80 in the end but remember only on the manual bet's I've risked a 1,000 STEEM!

Finally let's take a look at my dividends and "shares" in the casino the "Magic Token" that I've gained in this little dice session...

"Magic Token" before this session...

"Magic Token" after this session...

Dividends before this session...

Dividends after this session...

So in total a plus of

13,350 Magic token

and

0.0967 STEEM

I even had another little payout still unclaimed that I claimed right there...

BTW... a lot of the big guns seem to be collecting their "Magic Token's" and dividends all the time. The speed by these bets are being executed tell's me they're of course using bots as well.
Now, remember what I wrote as motive for the whole blockchain analysis effort. Learn from the big and successful accounts.

...I rest my case!

So, there are lot’s of possibilities to roll some dice, make some Magic Token (“shares in a casino”) and get dividend’s on top.

But… you can also mess up big time and loose your STEEM! So please be careful!

Their dice algorithm is provable fair. Look it up if you like.

If you want to try this anyways consider to use my referral code:

Check out their account here on STEEM too: https://steemit.com/@magicdice for some reports and further details on extra wins and so on.

So far my update for today. I'll keep you posted and STEEM on!

And again... of course I would like to hear from you about this post or the apps mentioned or your experiences or anything! Go ahead and leave a comment if you like!
