Midnight sun on Lofoten Islands is one of my most exciting experiences. The light, the colors, the small villages, and nature itself were so unbelievably beautiful. I was trying to absorb this beauty with all my senses. I believe it was a thrilling experience not only for me. From time to time I met the strangers who just talked to me: "Fantastic, right?"

Lofoten is an archipelago and a traditional district in the county of Nordland, Norway. Lofoten is known for a distinctive scenery with dramatic mountains and peaks, open sea and sheltered bays, beaches and untouched lands. Though lying within the Arctic Circle, the archipelago experiences one of the world's largest elevated temperature anomalies relative to its high latitude.
I remember that on the ferry to the Lofoten Islands almost everyone was with a really good photo camera. I think there is the highest density of photographers per square kilometer in Europe.

It does not get dark in summer there, right? So this photo was taken at nightime?
Yep. There are the night long sunsets/sunrises instead of nights )

I loved Norway, and I too noticed random people would just start chatting about things even at midnight with complete strangers from around the world. I had stopped to take pictures of a guy fishing, found he was from romania, then a guy from germany, woman from australia, and another all kinda started talking about balestrand, the beauty of Norway seems to make strangers start up convos :)
