Taking Breaks
Hi there. This short post is about taking breaks with reasons for it. I have recently got back on Steemit went on a posting frenzy. I went on a break from Steemit due to some burnout and had some other things I wanted to focus on.
Based on my own experiences and know-how (as a former math student) here are my reasons for taking breaks:
- Mental and/or physical fatigue
- Feeling stuck
- Burnout
- Boredom due to the routine being too familiar
- The work/activity is not fun anymore.
- Information overload
- Health Issues
- Other priorities
- Ran Out Of Ideas
- Stress
For Math & Problem Solving Type People
For those who do a lot of mathematics or technical work (math majors, math practitioners, physics people, etc.), taking breaks helps the brain rest for a bit. There are times the brain is dealing with information overload. The brain/head may go numb and you may feel fatigue. Instead of grinding it out, breaks are recommended. Cook some food, nap/sleep, exercise or end the day and go home. After breaks you can tackle the tasks and problems again with fresh eyes and possibly with new perspectives.
Thanks @dkmathstats, I remember my childhood day or say my school life.
