I've not fallen off the wagon...

A letter to the @welcomewagon

I have been amiss in visiting the wagon wheel discord but I want to let you now it's not because I am not keen to learn. As a matter of fact I just often find it hard to find the time to visit on the discord app too much and the time difference is doing my head in! 😅 BUT that's not to say I am not learning from you guys at all!!

I'm often sitting in the shadows, just listening and absorbing and I often have to take some information and PROCESS it. I often have a question but in the moment I don't have the time to post it BUT I read what others post and I learn from all of your experiences and teachings you offer on STEEMIT.

Sometimes it takes a minute, other times it takes me days or weeks to wrap the brain around the idea. However with my special bulldog tendencies I will struggle with it UNTIL I grasp the concept or if it is really too hard I'll leave it be and move on to the next challenge.

These last weeks I have learnt (just from the top of my head and with some help from @wesphilbin and @swedishdragon), to insert my badges in my posts should I choose to although @galenkp has been teasing me about that....and now I get to tease back by tagging him. 😂

For me it was about the accomplishment more than displaying the actual badges.

I see banners, badges and all sorts of beautiful graphics on other STEEMIT accounts and of course I want similar! I'm a girl after all. We like pretty things. 😍

1. I've learnt to post my blogs on the #steemitworldmap (huge accomplishment for this blonde!)

2. I learn again and again not too hand out votes so easily as I keep dipping under 50% but I love supporting all and it's hard to scroll by without voting or commenting seeing as ENGAGEMENT on here is ALL!!

3. @thekittygirl recommended HackMD which I am now in the process of figuring out.

4. Steempeak is also a new add on my laptop homepage and I love exploring all the extra fixtures available to use

1. I've joined @nTOPAZ which will probably see a lot of entries from me in the future.

2. I finally downloaded @actifit and learnt the hard way that I needed to do a minimum of 5000 steps a day to earn rewards....oh well. At least I got some exercise in whilst using it before although I now max it to make sure I get my rewards. :)

3. This morning with the guidance of @carrieallen and the rest of the team in the @discord steemterminal the other night showing me the ropes on how to link an image to a clickable link.....whoop whoop!! It took me a week to find the courage to sit and try it BUT I gone and done it!!! Be proud of me please.... :)

As a conclusion I want to say to my Welcome Wagon team; I have NOT fallen off the wagon. I'm hanging on for dear life BUT I am still here!! I apologize for forgetting that you are there to help but please know that I am still on this journey. I'm doing this. With your help and support and I appreciate it so much.

At the end of the day the Welcome Wagon is amazing but what's also one of the most awesome factors of STEEMIT is the way the steemterminal community jumps in to assist with ANY problems or questions. The other night I had a whole team explaining the ins and outs of links and images etc. It warms the cockles of my heart all this wonderful support.
