Happy 2020!

I spent part of my New Year's eve afternoon watching the new Helen Mirren movie Between the Lies at the Art Noveou theater at the V & A waterfront.

My daughter is spending New Year's with the boyfriend and their friends and my son is spending it at his friend's house. Hubby's in Mauritius where they've just weathered a warning 3 cyclone Calvinia for the past 2 days.

And me.... I'm alone in Cape Town spending New Year's with a good friend and a night at home.

All dressed up and nowhere to go 🙄 After our movie we went for an ice cream and then returned home.

If the clouds cover Table Mountain like this you can expect a lot of wind.

See how the strong thw wind blows. The sand from the beach is blown over the road.

So... This is my quiet New Year's eve day. Not much happening. I'm happy to report thought that the girl-child and the boyfriend stopped in to say hi before going to their friends.

I'm pouring a drink and putting some music on and then I'm reading my book.

I'm not sure I'll still be awake by 12pm and somewhere in the world it's 2020 already so let me wish you a happy and prosperous New Year!
