The Female Calling

This is my view on womanhood...

Man was created, and everything was good, then God saw that something was not good, and He made woman. In other words, something was missing and you were it, so you were created to fill a space, even in the sinless world. You were specially made for a purpose, and it was after your creation that God said “be fruitful and multiply.”*
Your creation brought the possibility of fruitfulness, and the possibility of expansion.
Though the first woman was created as a wife, the woman is so much more than a wife. The woman is called in different aspects, and she can get to all of them, sometimes at the same time, and sometimes not.

Female
You are called to be female before any other thing. Before we were conceived, God decided that we should be females. The female is usually the calmer gender, the gentler gender, the softer gender. She is the less aggressive one, the one in whose company calmness and solace is found. The female is usually the possessor of the quiet strength. She rarely makes noise, but her impact is evident. Don’t fight your femininity, embrace it, you were called to be female.

Daughter
You are also called to be a daughter. You are called to be the one who the father looks on with tenderness, the one who the mother looks on as a protégé. You are called to be one who will represent your home when you leave to begin a new home with someone else. A daughter is usually seen as the one to care for the parents in the old age (maybe because of the female characteristics mentioned above). A daughter brings pure joy to her parents as she gives them a reason to be tender.

Sister
You are also called to be a sister. To a female sibling you are a friend and ally, and to the male sibling, you are the backup plan, and sometimes the route to the parents. You are called to be a best friend, a constant friend. At a younger age you may be a fighting partner and an opponent, but as the years go by, you are the listening ear, the one who understands, and covers up. A sister is about the best constant friend anyone can have.

Colleague
You are also called to be a colleague, maybe in an official workplace, or in a more relaxed atmosphere. You bring to the table the multitasking gift most women are blessed with. You bring your intuition, and you bring that drive and motivation which once activated, cannot be easily quenched. You are a force to reckon with when focused on the duty at hand. As a worker, you can be very valuable at work, if only you activate your inner fruit-bearing gift.

Wife
You are called to be a wife; the first capacity a woman was called to. You are called to be everything good to your husband. God saw your husband alone, and said it was not good; he needed you. You are supposed to bring goodness and good things in your husband’s life**. You are supposed to be one of the reasons he praises God. You are supposed to prove yourself a good gift from God.

Mother
You are called to be a mother. You are called to pass knowledge to the next generation, you are called to show love with all its tenderness and fierceness, you are called to be a teacher, you are called to be a confidant, you are called to be a cook, you are called to be an organizer, you are caller to be an example of what a woman should be to your children, you are called to pass down values to the next generation, you are called to be the first and strongest impact your children will ever get. You are called to lead, you are called to spread kisses, and you are called to love with all you’ve got.

No woman is ever irrelevant, as we are all called. You don’t have to walk in your calling only where the ties of blood exist. You were called; you have a work to do. It may be in your immediate family, it may be in your community, it may be in your church, it may be in the world at large, but make sure you are walking in the calling into which you are called.
Every other thing you do in life can be found somewhere in these areas, and sometimes a mixture of one, two or three of the areas, presently, I am your sister.

One thing you should never forget, though, is that you were first called to be female, and walking outside that particular calling reduces the impact of the others.
