Prices are rising

With the recent rising price of oil i think we will soon see the rise of all daily items, so i went shopping to buy before they rise.
I think it's good to buy things that can be stored for long period so we won't be affected by the rise in price at least for short term
So here are some things i bought
Wine
Canned fish
Dog food
Also some rice, flour, tissues, and cooking oil

Yeah when oil price rise, all the consumer items of my country also rising! But I believe that's not a very fair thing! Coz, when price drops in most cases those prices will not drop as it does!

thank you theguruasia, yes when prices rise they tell us because the oil price is up so we need to raise the items price, but oil was down the last few years and the consumer items stays the same

Purchase and store stock of food and beverages in the current situation. I am interested in the drink you buy, it seems very fancy and delicious.

I would say it is becuase of a weakness in the dollar, but the dollar is not that weak at the moment. Then I remembered it’s summer time and they always raise oil prices in the summer so that gas prices are higher so they make more money. I don’t see extension of high oil prices “unless” the dollar weakens which then you have hyperinflation which the only two things you can think of our cryptos and metals to save your purchasing power.

You are right, everything will rise in price. We have the same thing in our country, even though the government promises to monitor the price increase, but it does not work. You are doing everything right.
thank you magnata, i don't believe promises and we are told that inflation number is low like 2 % or 5 %, but when you calculate the food price it is more than that everywhere in the world
