I have always been that type of a person who loves to attend weddings more than anything. When I was young I used to think it as any other celebration event like birthday parties or anniversaries. Now ,that I am mature enough to understand what actually weddings are ,Why people spend huge amount of life time saving on there children's wedding And what is its importance.

Yesterday, I went to my close friends wedding. It was an arrange marriage .My friend was one of the most prettiest brides I have ever seen. I took pictures of her. Due to privacy reasons I wont post her pictures here. But I hope you all can imagine a beautiful bride.

We used to go to the same coaching / tuition back in college. Then she went to a different university and I went to a different one. I remember How much quality time we used to spend together. From bunking classes to sleepovers and What not. We used to spend great time together. Now, that I was seeing her as a bride made me a little emotional .I was having mixed emotions ,I was feeling sad yet happy at the very same time.
Sad maybe because, then I wont be seeing her as much as now. And happy because I am proud to be part of such a memorable and happiest moment of her life.

She had her Nikah done first. Nikah is one of the most beautiful event in our religion . By having your Nikah done ,you both promise to take care of each other for life time. ,to love each other and stay with each other in hard times and for ever. People will say that nikah is like a contract where you agree to be wife /husband 3 times each. But for me its more than that. Its the part of life where things changes ,fate changes and life changes.

In our culture they have a saying that "A girls bring good fate and fortune to the boy she marry." And this is very true. God has created us in pairs to find comfort , support, and love in each other's presence.

So she had her nikah done . And I was next to her the whole time. Its the first time I saw a Nikah in real .Other than that I have just seen in videos. I can completely see love and a lot of affection from both the bride and groom side .It was simply out of Disney princess movie .After the Nikah , The bride and groom are basically legal to touch each other. I love how the families hugged each other after the nikah was done .I hugged my friend Adsa and finally the bride and groom hugged each other.

After the Nikah was done. The groom side distributed sweets in cute packaging. Its mandatory !!
You have to give sweets and dates to all the guests and it is usually giving from the groom sides.

After nikah we had dinner. The dinner was really nice .Catering was quite good .Hall was really beautiful. I loved how the theme was matching with every thing. The wedding cards were matching a lot with the wedding hall and the sweet boxes. The theme was grey. The management was good. And overall everything went great.
There were many different items with different refreshments too.

• Wontons

• Karahi

• chicken strips

for dessert we had :

• Kheer

• Ice Cream

Overall, this was a happy episode of my friends life. And I am very blessed to be a part of it. I hope they both live happy with each other for ever. May God bless them with great health and wealth always .
